Our Purpose…

“Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

He loved us all…

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

And because He loved us… He adopted us

Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

AND… gave us a new spirit

Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba!

He made us NEW…

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Thus our purpose…

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

In other words…

We are the earthly representation of the “Good News of Great Joy”.

A child who crys Abba… Daddy!!… loves Him and wants, beyond anything they can imagine, to grow up to be just like their Daddy! Our purpose in ministry is to be God’s children and reflect His heart… to be His hands and feet… His hugs with skin on them!!
