Our Mission…
“We were created BY love… 1 John 4:8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
We were created WITH love… Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts;You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well.
We WILL BE SUSTAINED with love… Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It makes sense then, that we were created TO love… 1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Therefore… Our Mission… Our command from above is… Matthew 22:37-40 And He (Jesus) said to him (a lawyer), “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
For allot of years I spent a good deal of time anxiously awaiting God’s call on my life. I worried that I would miss His sending. What if I am suppose to be going here or serving there? How will I know?
Until I GOT IT! And IT is not a job, task, or place to go and do. My mission… your mission (should you decide to accept it) is LOVE.
I humbly submit to you… if you are preparing to go, or to serve or seeking to labor in the harvest… Above all else… Seek love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
